There really is no perfect honeymoon timeline
as some vacation packages can be quite standard while
custom honeymoons can take much more time to plan out
properly. There are however guidelines we have come up
with that should work for almost any couple.
12 -9
months: Begin researching destinations:
Begin researching travel agencies. It is important to
note that while it may be easy in this day and age for
some couples to book their vacation online, the service
of a knowledgeable travel agency can be invaluable.
There are many common myths regarding the use of a
travel agency including “You will pay more if you book
through a travel agency” which is simply not true. While
it is not typical on one occasion A&E Travel was able to
save our clients over $1200 over a large online travel
booking engine website.
6-9 months: Start a relationship with your travel
agent:
Be sure you have a passport if you will be traveling
outside of the country. At A&E Travel, our custom
vacation design specialists will work one on one with
you through the entire process. You can rest assured
that we will custom tailor your honeymoon to your
standards. We feel that as there are no two couples that
are exactly alike, there will also be no two custom
tailored honeymoons that will be exactly the same.
3-6 months: If you are planning to start our
honeymoon bridal registry:
6 months out would be a great time to start. This
will give your guests ample time to contribute to your
honeymoon for your shower(s). This is also a great time
to make a final decision on your vacation and to book
your honeymoon. Be sure to request time off of work if
applicable.
2 weeks-1 month: We will reconfirm your
reservations:
In order to make sure your vacation is as flawless as
possible. This is also the perfect time to purchase
luggage if needed, honeymoon clothing, or other supplies
on your honeymoon list.
1 week: Be sure you have everything you will need;
Verify that you have any travel documents and
passports you will be required to have.
Day of Departure: If you have followed all the
above guidelines:
Now relax and be ready to enjoy your dream come true
honeymoon.
